Hands down one of the best food experiences I had in Istanbul considering all the factors that make for a great night: delicious food, attentive service, and a fantastic atmosphere. From the outside, it may appear to be an average kebab restaurant, but they certainly don't need a flashy appearance or excessive advertising. Once you step inside you'll understand why. Everything is top-notch, and every little detail is meticulously taken into consideration, marking the difference between a very good and an outstanding establishment. The kebabs we ordered were mouthwatering, the mezzes were all delightful, and the other dishes included in the menu were also delicious. The staff struck a perfect balance between being attentive and not overwhelming. The person in charge was a welcoming and charming man. I will definitely come again, and until then, the friends I recommended will pay a visit for me.

This is incredible place with the host. The owner is very sincere and professional in his work. The waiters are working like a machine. Food quality is very high. Turkish kebaps are very delicious. Meze (cold food) are very tasty. Lahmacun (a kind of Turkish pizza) is excellent. This place is welcoming to mainly Turkish citizens who want the high quality kebap and service. If you will be near Kozyatagi or close, I recommend you to go directly there, dont waste time to search any other place. You wont be regret it, in contrast, you will go there again.

Great spot for dinner - locals come here for having a shish, smoke and raki - exciting atmosphere on. Friday (come after 8p) - great service (just push back a little if you don't want something) and high quality food (chicken shish is supper tasty). Enjoy!

Such an amazingly cozy place, one always would find a table to sit as the restaurant covers a comparably huge area. Staff is great. Adana kebab is the best in the city ❤️ great local dry wine. Recommended!

This was our second trip to Hayati Ocakbaşı “kebap” restaurant as the guests of a friend who is a fan of the place. There won’t be a third time. Everything we ordered was what I would call mediocre quality. My “lahmacun” and “Adana kebap” were both of barely acceptable quality. The restaurant is clearly a popular place among the locals as its “smoking section” was almost full; not so in the rather unpleasant rear of the restaurant where non-smokers were accommodated. Normally when I visit a city I’m not totally familiar with I would seek out the restaurants that are frequented by locals but that strategy doesn’t seem to work here.

Attentive staff, vast array of fresh salads, beautiful bread and grilled meats. For the variety and amount of food this is NOT expensive. Well worth a visit even if you need to travel to it. I was lucky, near my hotel.
